Etty borders both the Moresby Range National Park and Etty Bay beach and is close to the centre of the World Heritage Wet Tropics Area which is made up of several sections.
Two of the local Cassowaries wander freely around the grounds as our yard is a part of their territory. Butterflies, birds, frogs, mammals, reptiles, and other wildlife abound in the lush tropical vegetation.
