Stuck in Adelaide
Monday, June 20th 2011
Adelaide South Australia
I missed my train yesterday due to wrong time understanding. Now am stuck in Adelaide with no refund.
I was really pissed off this morning. Lost some money: I hate that, who would not.
So I changed plans completely.
Got a car hired for two month now for a fairly reasonable rate. It is quite a huge station wagon I can sleep in with free camping equipment.
I need to get a mattress, and some blanket maybe.
So I do not always have to look for hostels. Which can be kind of fun as well.
Anyway I booked my flight back to Melbourne for 22nd of June. Plenty of time here and in Melbourne. I am not really interested in cities I must admit.
I should go out now and use the little daylight we have here for some exploration. I just do not feel like.
Where to go to from Melbourne?
I got a car now, because everything is by car here, I do not like this, but that's the way it is.
Dromana
Tuesday 07th of June
Dromana on Mornington Peninsula
Early in the morning, was went to the medical centre in Rosebud to get Andrew x-rayed, to ensure nothing is broken. Everything fine, I drove him up to his place, nice little house, where he is about to move to Singapore. I could use the internet and did some research for long period car rental and some new hosts on me way to Adelaide. Answered emails ...
I drove up to Arthur's Seat and had a quick walk through the Sea Gardens, which is a very nice garden or park on top of the mountain overlooking the whole Philly Bay. The weather was really windy all day, damn cold with hail and gusts of rain. Freezing my head off. Nice vegetarian night meal, a little of Australians Top Talents on TV, don't remember which channel, then to bed, had a good warm sleep. Very calm and no traffic noise what so ever.
The whole house is damn cold and not heated at all, because its not really finished jet. They are about to set the chimney up for a steel stove.
Melbourne Friday – Monday
1th of June 2011
Melbourne
I arrived early this morning after a 22 hour flight straight from London with a quick fuel stop in Hong Kong. It was a little weird to disembark the Boeing 474 leaving your luggage on board heading for the exit and then re-enter after one more serious security check from the Chinese authorities. Seats I had to changes as well. Second place was a little better, with a skinny girl to the left, so more space for me.

Category description
Sleep is a naturally recurring state characterized by reduced or absent consciousness, relatively suspended sensory activity, and inactivity of nearly all voluntary muscles. It is distinguished from quiet wakefulness by a decreased ability to react to stimuli, and is more easily reversible than being in hibernation or a coma. Sleep is also a heightened anabolic state, accentuating the growth and rejuvenation of the immune, nervous, skeletal and muscular systems. It is observed in all mammals, all birds, and many reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
The purposes and mechanisms of sleep are only partially clear and are the subject of intense research. Sleep is often thought to help conserve energy, but actually decreases metabolism only about 5–10%. Hibernating animals need to sleep despite the hypo-metabolism seen in hibernation, and in fact they must return from hypothermia to euthermy in order to sleep, making sleeping „energetically expensive.“
In mammals and birds, sleep is divided into…
