Malanda | Mareeba Wetlands—David's Creek Waterfall Kuranda—Smithfield
I left Malanda and took the back roads to Tolga Wood works shop, nice stuff. I tried to visit the Granite Gorge, but they wanted to charge me $10 just for looking and walking around their private property, fair enough, but not with me.
I went to the Mareeba Wetland Reserve, same story. Furthermore, I got creative and did the 4.5 km Pandanus walk. At first, it looks boring, but if you look closer and take your time … see photos.
After lunch at the visitor centre, I drove back down small roads and up to Cairns on the highway. Off the highway to David's Creek National Park, delightful waterfall and swimming in the creek.
